Chopped strand fiberglass mat is commonly utilized in the fiberglass industry as a reinforcement. It offers several benefits, including affordability and the ability to easily conform to contours.

While it may not possess the same level of strength as fabrics, it is an excellent choice for cost-effective and rapid build ups.

The mat can be used independently or in conjunction with fiberglass fabrics or woven roving for larger fabrications.

It is frequently employed for plywood decking buildup and inserted between layers of fabric during the molding process. To fully saturate (wet out) a 300 gram chopped strand fiberglass mat, approximately 680 grams of resin per square meter is required.
